Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-07-08

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using BidTorch (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

BidTorch helps residential electrical and plumbing contractors build estimates, determine likely permit requirements, and manage jobs.

3. Estimates and permit information are guidance

Permit determinations, fees, code citations, and estimates provided by the Service are guidance based on curated data and your inputs. They are not legal, engineering, or professional advice, and are not a permit or a guarantee of any outcome. Requirements and fees change. You are responsible for confirming all requirements, fees, and code compliance directly with the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) before relying on them.

4. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, for your licensing and compliance, for your pricing decisions, and for the work you perform for your customers.

5. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that curated permit data is complete, current, or error-free.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BidTorch is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made in reliance on Service outputs.

7. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms or the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. You may stop using the Service at any time.
